📋 How Referral Link Works

A Referral Link is a unique link assigned to every team member and promoter in Turbo Referrals. It serves as the foundation of how Turbo Referrals tracks where new leads and referrals come from.

Team Member Referral Link

Your Referral Link is designed to help you grow your referral network and generate leads. Share your link with customers, service visitors, or anyone who may want to connect with you.

When someone uses your Referral Link, whether to reach out to you or to sign up as a promoter, you receive immediate notification. Every connection is automatically stored and tracked in your portal, giving you complete visibility into exactly where your leads and promoters are coming from.

What customers see in a team member’s Referral Link:

  • Shopping page: When your dealership has visible inventory, customers can browse available vehicles and reach out about specific units that interest them.

  • Profile: Shows your contact details and dealership information. For dealerships that don't display inventory, this page replaces the Shopping page as the main interaction point. Customers can send general inquiries or complete a pre-qualification form from here.

  • Pre-qualification form: Enables customers to submit their details for streamlined financing or purchase processes.

  • Promote Me page: This page explains your referral program benefits and allows customers to sign up as promoters. Once they join, they receive their own Referral Link that connects back to you.

  • Home: The initial landing page. From here, customers can choose to shop for vehicles or become a promoter in your network.

Dealer Referral Link

Every dealership has its own referral link and profile. This is used when the dealership promotes its referral program or manages leads as a whole, rather than through a specific team member. It works the same way as a team member’s referral link, but it displays the dealership’s contact information and connects all resulting leads and promoters to the dealership profile in the portal.

Don’t forget to review the leads and promoters tied to the dealership profile so your team does not miss any activity not assigned to an individual team member.

Promoter Referral Link

Anyone who joins your referral program through your link becomes a promoter. Each promoter receives their own Referral Link that is connected to the team member they joined under. Promoter Referral Links function the same as team member links, with a few key differences:

  • Each promoter's link prominently displays 🎁 Referred by [Promoter Name] so customers can see who shared it with them. This builds trust since friends and family are more likely to engage when they recognize the referring person's name.

  • Promoter Referral Links bypass the Home page entirely. Instead, they direct visitors straight to the Shopping page for a more focused experience. 2

Because every action flows through a Referral Link, team members can track their own referrals and monitor results, while the dealership gains complete visibility into who is generating leads. This system ensures both team members and promoters are properly recognized and rewarded for their contributions.

Controls for Dealership User

Admins and Members all have tools to manage their referral links:

  • Resend a promoter’s Referral Link: Send a promoter their unique link again if they need it.

  • View linked leads and promoters: See which leads and promoters are tied to your Referral Link.

  • Update your profile: Edit your contact info on your Referral Link.

  • Use the homepage to share your Referral Link and track progress: Access your link and monitor activity in one place.

Controls for Dealership Admins

Admins have some additional control:

  • Inventory settings: Decide how your team’s Referral Links display your dealership’s inventory.

  • Reward program: Set up the reward program customers see when they use your team’s Referral Links.

Actions Available to Promoters

Promoters also have tools to stay engaged:

  • View referral details: Access their own Referral Link and sharing options.

  • Join the referral program: Sign up to become a promoter and start sharing their unique link.
